People's Park will celebrate its 45th Anniversary on Sunday April 27 from noon to 6pm with Music, Speakers, Dancing, Drumming and Free Food catered by Food not Bombs. Come out and enjoy a day in the Park, remember the fallen & celebrate another trip around the Sun for the world's most unique social experiment. The lineup is Antiquoia as the headliner who mixes Columbian cumbia, African and jam band music, India House, Too Much Funky,Carol Denney, Hali Hammer(both folk singer activist long involved with People's Park), park locals Steven, Cool Whip, Yukon Hannibal, local hip hoppers Five Boys, poetry by Jimbo the Hobow, speakers such as Hate Man(local street character), Zachary Running Wolf, Michael Delacour(founder of the park who is also organizing a speak out the Saturday April 26th at the Art House Gallery 2905 Shattuck Ave.), starting off at noon with the All Nation Singers who do native drumming and lead people in a round dance.
