Use your heels to heal our community! On May 6, 2012, Alan Blueford was murdered just weeks before he was to graduate from high school by OPD officer Miguel Masso. Since then, his family and their supporters in the Justice for Alan Blueford coalition – JAB – have marched and protested to demand justice. On the second anniversary of his death, the Blueford family asks you to participate in a walk around Lake Merritt to remember Alan and to remind the community that officer Masso continues to patrol the streets of Oakland with a gun at his side. Please join us to honor the memory of our son, Alan, and make sure that no more of our young people fall victim OPD’s racial profiling policies and violent practices.

Please bring home made signs and banners honoring Alan and opposing police brutality.

Initiated by Alan Blueford’s family. If your community, political group, church, or union, would like to endorse, please contact: abc4justice [at] gmail.com

We encourage you to please spread the word via social media and word of mouth.
