Opening Rally in Pittsburg at 9am.

Walk begins at 9:30am with Ending Rally in Martinez at 5:30pm.
The first in a series of “Connect the Dots: Refinery Corridor Healing Walks,” this walk will take place from Pittsburg to Martinez on April 12th.

“Connect the Dots” will occur over a 4-monthperiod with one walk each month to bring attention to the northeast San Francisco Bay refinery corridor consisting of 5 refineries in 4 cities. Pittsburg is the site of a proposed oil terminal that would bring up to 100 rail cars per day of highly flammable crude oil through Pittsburg for distribution. Shell and Tesoro refineries are located in the city of Martinez.

Today's Walk #1: Pittsburg to Martinez – Saturday, April 12
Approximately 15 miles!

Opening Rally in Pittsburg
9:00 a.m. at the Pittsburg Marina Park

Walk begins promptly at 9:30 a.m.

One Mile Meeting Point
For a shorter walk, meet us on the steps of the Martinez Superior Courthouse (Court Street at Ward Street, Martinez) at approximately 4:30 PM. You can call the number above to check on timing.

Ending Rally in Martinez – Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Feel free to join the walk at any point on the route. If you can only be with us for an hour or so, please consider meeting up with the walkers a mile or two before the end in Martinez as we march through downtown.
