An Open Letter to Gov. Jerry Brown: No Fracking During the Drought in California

by Mike Raccoon Eyes Kinney
SAY NO TO THE USE OF OUR CALIFORNIA WATER IN A DROUGHT FOR FRACKING BY MULTI-NATIONAL ENERGY CORPORATIONS AND A TOTAL BAN ON FRACKING NOW AND IN THE FUTURE IN CALIFORNIA.
AN OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR JERRY BROWN, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
FROM: MIKE RACCOON EYES KINNEY, NATIVE ADVOCATE.

" SAY NO TO THE USE OF OUR CALIFORNIA WATER IN A DROUGHT FOR FRACKING PURPOSES BY MULTI-NATIONAL ENERGY CORPORATIONS!!"

Governor Brown,
I first met you a few years back while you were then Mayor of the City of Oakland.
I was among hundreds of protesters at the Oakland City Council chambers that was against the City Council proposal of denying the Stork Club, a famous rock venue, its permit to do business in the City of Oakland. To my surprise, I was one of the first people back at the Stork Cub and there you were having a beer waiting for us to return. I had been highly critical of you as Mayor of Oakland for your support of denying the permit. Based on our talks that night at the Stork Club, you would eventually come to support allowing the Stork Club to have its business permit.

" NO FRACKING IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DURING A DROUGHT SEASON WITH OUR LIMITED STATE WATER SUPPLY !!"

My family and I, the families of the Nation-State of California are both appealing and requesting to you to tell the Multi-National Energy Corporations: " NO FRACKING IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DURING THIS DROUGHT AND A TOTAL BAN ON FRACKING IN CALIFORNIA NOW AND INTO THE FUTURE!"

The Multi-National Energy Corporations ONLY view as a TOOL, PAWN, OR A STOOGE in their goals to have free rein in the State of California to eco-rape our water supply in order to purse their goals of fracking!

If you allow this to happen, you have ensured the death warrant of water supply, the air and the land of the State of California! You would gave your carte-blanche
permission to allow Multi-National Energy Corporations to the eco-rape of State of California!!

It is time for you to be a MAN AND A LEADER and to tell the MULTI-NATIONAL ENERGY CORPORATIONS, THE ANSWER IS NO! NO FRACKING DURING A DROUGHT AND A TOTAL BAN ON FRACKING NOW AND THE FUTURE IN THE NATION-STATE OF CALIFORNIA!!

You do NOT want your political legacy to be remembered as the Governor of California that sold out to the Multi-National Energy Corporations, betrayed the People of California and having created one of greatest eco-rape disaster zones on the face of world!

BE A REAL MAN AND A REAL LEADER, AN TELL THE MULTI-NATIONAL ENERGY COMPANIES: NO FRACKING IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DURING THE DROUGHT AND A TOTAL BAN ON FRACKING NOW AND IN THE FUTURE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

In the Spirit of Unity Among Our People,
Mike Raccoon Eyes Kinney, Native Advocate.

Under the best water conditions possible, fracking is still a deadly idea. While providing energy and taxes to the state budget, fracking endangers the water supply forever by introducing toxic chemicals into our groundwater through the gas industry's use of over 500 substances for fracturing shale to get at the gas reserves stored there. Many of these chemicals are highly toxic and cancer-causing, and some have even been radioactive. These will not be flushed away, but will remain as a legacy to what we do as a species to this planet. We not only endanger ourselves, but every other living organism that relies on the water our environment contains.

As Mike noted, be a man and stand up Jerry! Say no to fracking until the industry PROVES it has developed a safe way to proceed through federal and state testing of their methods, AND through independent scientific evidence that the oil and gas industry does not use harmful chemicals in the fracking process. After-the-fact monitoring DOES NOT prevent disasters! That's like telling people to use birth control after sex to prevent conception!

Thank you Mike for your fervent statement! If we, as a people, don't value our environment enough to take care of it for now and for the future, then we will surely reap the consequences, as we are already seeing now in the exponential increases in autism, cancer, asthma, allergies and other health and genetic issues that are already at unacceptable levels. As a high school science teacher, I totally support you on this important issue with all of my heart!
