The Alameda County Peace and Freedom Party and Movement presents

Socialist Perspectives on the
United States’ Role in World War II

In remembrance of Pearl Harbor Day, we are inviting two veterans of WWII to share their thoughts. Harry Siitonen is a retired union printer and a member of the IWW and Veterans for Peace, as well as the Peace and Freedom Party. Howard Keylor is a retired longshoreman and a supporter of the International Bolshevik Tendency.. Topics will include profiteering in U.S. weapons production, unnecessary endangerment of troops as well as the slaughter of civilians, and the use of the atomic bomb. After Harry and Howard share their views, we will have open discussion.
