Veolia Hands Off USW Local 8751 Boston School Bus Drivers-Protest Rally At Veolia In San Francisco
San Francisco UTU 1741 school bus drivers and other transit workers rallied on October 30, 2013 in San Francisco at the offices of Veolia and Para Transit to demand that Veolia withdraw the firing of five leaders of the Boston USW School Bus Drivers Union. They also supported the revoking of their contract with the city of Boston. Workers also discussed the role of Veolia in a national campaign of union busting and privatization against BART workers and many other transportation workers. At BART, the management and Board of Directors brought in Thomas P. Hoch at $400,000 to attack the BART unions and demand major concessions and union busting rules.

There is now a national campaign to stop the firing of Boston school bus drivers who are members of USW 8751. The company is seeking to bust the union by firing nearly the entire union leadership for fighting back against their attacks.
