Federal workers including AFGE leaders in Washington DC talk about the affects of the government shutdown, whose behind it and what it means for Federal workers and the public. These interviews were done on the 11th day of the shutdown and it took place in front of the capitol on October 11, 2013. Included were workers from the Veteran's administration, EPA and FEMA.

On Day 11 of the US government shutdown, AFGE Federal employees in Washington DC rallied in front of the capitol to demand that the government open up. William Preston of AFGE Local 17 which represents over 2,000 Veterans Administration employees spoke as well as AFGE national president Jeffrey David Cox Sr.
William Preston talked about the Bonus March 100 years ago in Washington when Veterans converged on the capitol to demand their promised benefits. Some Federal workers have also been called back to work without pay violating the 13th amendment of the US constitution.
