From Oscar Grant to Trayvon Martin, African people in the US are gunned down with impunity. Police containment, massive imprisonment and dire poverty are conditions imposed on African people everywhere.

All over the world, the African People’s Solidarity Committee and the Uhuru Solidarity Movement are building the annual Days in Solidarity with African People and inviting white, North American and European people to stand up for justice and liberation for African people here and around the world.

Join us for this special work/study to build A Day in Solidarity with African People in Oakland in October, 2013 with Penny Hess.

Penny Hess leads the African People's Solidarity Committee, an organization of EuroAmerican people organizing white solidarity under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party and Uhuru Movement.

Hess is the author of Overturning the Culture of Violence, a book that that indicts not only the imperial powers but white people for our role in the slavery, genocide, lynchings and ongoing attacks on African people. She shows how we can take a stand of solidarity, building reparations for the African community.
