first off, isn't the fruitvale march a permitted action, and very unfriendly toward anarchists/radicals? this can't go well at all.

and secondly, why make a call for this so late, when there are other anarchist actions in the bay? i'm sure the SF anti-capitalist march would welcome an APOC/Queer contingent, while trying to interfere with the fruitvale march would only cause problems, and draw people away from the SF action.

we're forming a contingent to join the oakland march because we live here and we're part of the community.

we want to participate in the march, not disrupt it. and also give voice, and a space, for those who wish to bring up issues immigration reform fails to address.

I love how Maoist shills continue to use the term "autonomous" like they used to use "anti-authoritarian" to show how down they are with certain anarchists. Pretty clever. Sure you're "part of the community" but are you a wanted or appreciated part? Judging from the bureaucrats and identity politicians who ran the march last year, I'd have to say No. Go for it though; it fits right in with the other Oakland May Day march demanding $15. Bigger Cages, Longer Chains!

haters gonna hate when you they see you doin' good. self determination's on the rise in the town. see folks there!

No indication that the autonomous anarchist people of color contingent is in any way organized by Maoists. You must be confusing this contingent with the sectarian RCP demonstration happening at the same time up the road.

Glad to see comrades bringing up important issues at the march that wouldn't be addressed otherwise, like how bigger cages and longer chains are not progress.
by Why Not ?
Will EX Maoist Jean Quan be invited to speak ? Maybe since ''Sin Fronteras ''is closely connected to the Democratic Party and Quan's admin. Last year Sin Fronteras actively tried to disrupt the mostly Latino Immigrant lead ''Dignity and Resistance'' May day march by scare mongering aimed at Occupy Oakland . They eventually lead a small split to prevent the march from, (as Quan and OPD Jordan feared ) reaching downtown Oakland . But most ignored that and continued on to Oscar Grant Plaza.
So if this contingent can help challenge this ''Identity politics'' Liberal bloc more power to them .
PS Since tens if not hundreds of thousands of workers in Northern Cal make less than they need to live decently i think you would have a hard time convincing them that fighting for a Living wage of $15 an hour isn't worth fighting for .

I'm not sure why people think this is Maoists, it isn't. And it isn't sin fronterras either.

it's pathetic we have white kids still calling black/brown self-determination 'identity politics' and shilling for occupy, there is nothing revolutionary about sucking the white mans dick. We don't need you.

Neither white nor a kid nor an unquestioning shill for Occupy. So nice that you could fit all your assumptions into one sentence. There were a zillion things wrong with Occupy Oakland, but the principle of No Demands was not one of them. Once upon a time there was a caucus within the broader anarchist milieu in the US and Canada based on the self-organization of POC. Within a year it had devolved into another oppression olympics. People who identified as biracial or "mixed" were greeted with skepticism if not outright suspicion, and the dominant discourse began revolving around reformist campaigns for living wages and civil rights. That's identity politics: a way for certain organizers to find their niche while auditioning for the non-profit industrial complex. It's not about power to the (black and brown - what no yellow or red?) people, but about power for a few politicians. In case you hadn't noticed, anarchists usually wish to abolish relations of power.

I don't fit into Moreno 's false category either .
BTW Trick Question : Was Che Guevara a ''Man of color '' ?
