Monsanto Protection Act Passes Congress

Please call President Obama on Friday 3/22/13 to urge him to veto this bill.
For more information and to find your rep's phone number visit http://action.fooddemocracynow.org/call/Monsanto_declares_war_on_America/?rd=1&t=12&referring_akid=781.512767.GZXfv4 .

The so called Monsanto Protection Act strips the courts of their ability to oversee the process of approving new genetically modified crops for production. If ever there was a need to dump GMO products and go all organic, now is definitely the time. I for one just now ate the last Snickers bar for the rest of my life. (Snickers almost certainly contains GMO ingredients in the form of corn syrup and soy letchin.) Don't worry. The rest of my diet is mostly organic.

Bill passed congress - do you mean the house and the senate?

If so, why would we call our representatives? And why not also call our senators?

Also, please include the bill number so we can reference it when calling the white house. And please include the phone number we should call.

I think you have the right approach - if the corrupt fat cats in power will not protect us, we must protect ourselves with our own power. Boycott all GMO foods. And tell the store owner why you are not buying their stuff anymore.

"Lips that have touched a GMO will never touch mine." (To paraphrase a phrase.)

And why aren't people in "green" Seattle in the streets? We are ground zero for the Gates Foundation, friend and demon lover and shareholder of Monsanto.

Thanks.

It has passed both the House and Senate. The link in the original article has all the info that you need including the phone number for the White House. Good luck. I haven't heard if Obama has signed this law yet.

Sorry. It is too late. There is a demo scheduled for Wednesday at noon in front of the White House to protest this turn of events. At that event they will be delivering 250,000 comments to the president. Why now? Why didn't this happen on Monday? Duh...
