Campesinos under siege by paramilitaries in Aguan, Honduras

El comité de solidaridad Sandinista, ante los grabes acontecimientos de violencia y represión, que están sucediendo en contra del pueblo hondureño, denunciamos:

1.- La ofensiva militar que ejecuta el régimen de facto de Porfirio Lobo en contra de comunidades campesinas en la región del Bajo Aguán en el departamento de Colón y en Zacate Grande en el litoral pacífico de Honduras.

2. Estas actividades de violencia y represión por parte de las fuerzas armadas, se realizan con el objeto de preservar los intereses económicos de terratenientes o empresarios, que una vez más intenta despojar al pueblo de sus tierras. Situación que se nutre del estado de indefensión en que se encuentra Honduras después del golpe de Estado que implantó una dictadura de la oligarquía.

3. Denunciamos las continuas violaciones de derechos por parte de los militares y policías que sin justificación alguna, lanzaron gases lacrimógenos y raptaron a 16 personas, incluyendo a corresponsales de la Radio comunitaria Zacate Grande, que sufre constante asedio desde hace meses. El sangriento desalojo de Zacate Grande, fue denunciado por organizaciones de derechos humanos que comprobaron la participación en la represión de guardias de seguridad de transnacional bancaria HSBC.

4. La crítica situación que se vive en el Bajo Aguán; esta comunidad permanece cercada y en Estado de Sitio. Centenares de militares y policías con armas de guerra (Helicópteros artillados, ametralladoras, tanquetas y otras armas pesadas), han ocupado la comunidad Guadalupe Carney, golpeando salvajemente a varios pobladores, deteniendo decenas de personas y sembrando el terror. Las acciones incluyen el intento por destruir la Radio Orquídea.

5. El aumento de la represión contra la población civil desarmada que reclama sus derechos legítimos, y que se da con toda impunidad y con la complicidad de los medios de comunicación propiedad del gran capital, que están ocultando el gran sufrimiento que se infringe contra la población indefensa.

6. La implementación de las políticas y acciones encaminadas a atemorizar a los ciudadanos, generando un clima de miedo, tensión, inseguridad, y que se refleja en las pocas denuncias que nos hacen llegar las víctimas.
en ellas se habla de muertos, viudas y huérfanos, de mujeres violadas, ultrajadas por las fuerzas represivas. Se les niega el acceso a la educación y a la salud, a una vivienda digna, a la seguridad alimentaria.

7. Responsabilizamos a Miguel Facussé, Porfirio Lobo y Óscar Álvarez como los principales responsables de los crímenes que se están cometiendo en contra de nuestros hermanos en Silín y Zacate grande.
8. Exigimos la inmediata liberación de los detenidos y la aparición con vida y sin perjuicio a la salud de los desaparecidos.

9. Hacemos un llamado a los gobiernos del mundo y los organismos internacionales de derechos humanos a que presten atención a lo que sucede en Honduras, donde la vida y la integridad humana ya no tienen valor.

Entendemos que es urgente impulsar acciones a nivel internacional, encaminadas a denunciar y contrarrestar el proyecto de muerte que existe en la zona. Es urgente pues, la creación de un observatorio permanente de derechos humanos en las zona, la redacción de un informe completo de la misión y la propuesta de organizar una sesión del TPP (Tribunal Permanente de los Pueblos) en el Bajo Aguán.
Invitamos a todas las organizaciones comprometidas con la defensa de los derechos elementales a:

1-Dar a conocer esta situación.
2-Seria importante que el movimiento de solidaridad internacional y medios de comunicación circulen, visiten, continuamente, la zona para tratar de acompañar a los campesinos para la defensa de sus vidas, y dar a conocer por todos los medios posibles la problemática, las injusticias y los abusos que se están cometiendo desde las
instancias del gobierno de Porfirio Lobo.
