U.S. | Health, Housing, and Public ServicesThe Housing Committee of the National Lawyers Guild is looking to support squatters
The Housing Committee for the National Lawyers Guild is in the process of developing materials to support squatting activism and we are trying to reach out to activists to identify the topics we should cover and to hear about what activists have learned from their experiences. Please contact me if you would be interested in being interviewed/surveyed. ALL COMMUNICATIONS WILL BE HELD STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. My name is Eric Post and I am on the steering subcommittee for the Housing
Committee of the National Lawyers Guild (social movement/leftist/radical lawyer association; people with green hats at protests). We are in the process of identifying topics and important considerations for a Squatting guidebook and we realized that we need to be talking to some of activists on the ground, so that we can hear your thoughts on the sort of questions, topics, and considerations that should be covered in the guidebook, and identify resources that the NLG could provide to support your activism. Also, we would love to hear about some of the things you all have learned and what sort of advice you would give to someone who is interested in engaging in direct action squatting-related tactics. Please let me know if this is something that your group may be interested in or if you have any questions or concerns. All communications will be held strictly confidential. In solidarity, Eric Post
