'Grassroots up, not Beehive down' for Chch - reflects ethical, bottom-up, human rights.

by Anthony Ravlich Sat, Dec 1, 2012 9:28AM
The New Zealand Labour Party want the rebuilding of Christchurch after massive and tragic earthquakes to be from the 'Grassroots up, not Beehive down'. This reflects the global ethical human rights approach of our council which emphasizes a bottom-up development and a bottom-up democracy. So far the rebuild has been top-down bureaucratic/Corporate control (fanatically driven, in my view). This may have implications for rebuilding following 'Sandy' in America. PS. the Beehive is where parliament meets.
