Olga Reyes Salazar, from a long-time activist family in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, will be giving the homily at Park Presidio UMC. She has lost six members of her family in the last 3 years.
Olga will bring to S.F. her powerful testimony of the human costs of drug war, militarism & gun trafficking, and the growing movement to forge a different path in Mexico.
For the last 18 months Olga and other Mexican victims of violence have mobilzed "caravans of consolation" for peace with justice, and dignity.
Accompanying Olga is John Lindsay-Poland with the interfaith Fellowship of Reconcilliation. John has addressed gun trafficking into Mexico on National Public Radio & community events.
All are invited, event will be bilingual.
