Drum, dance. Occupy. Halloween Pacific Ave. 7 PM to Midnight
Drum your rage. Dance your joy. Speak out. Feel good.
Bring your political messages on flyers, banners, or cardboard signs.
Now is the time to make noise, as the "unreasonably disturbing noise" ordinance was found unconstitutional and cannot be enforced until a new noise ordinance is put in place by the Santa Cruz City Council. "Unreasonably disturbing" street performers, preachers, and theatrical political protesters have all been cited under the previous law. Stand up for your right to protest loudly and have a good time this Halloween!
Bring your drums, noisemakers, & pots and pans to be beaten with spoons like protests against austerity in Argentina, Iceland, and Quebec.
Come as you are or come in dance costume. Inspire others to speak out, drum out, and dance out in the public commons and enjoy being with each other. Invite your friends!
