The Sierra Club has made the following endorsements for the November 6, 2012 election:

Santa Cruz County Supervisor, 5th District: Eric Hammer

Santa Cruz City Council: Micah Posner

Santa Cruz City Measure P (Right to Vote on DeSal): Yes

State Assembly District 29: Mark Stone

State Senate District 17: Bill Monning

Group Executive Committee Nominations and Elections:

The Executive Committee of the Santa Cruz Group of the Sierra Club holds elections for 3 of its 9 seats each year, for 3 year terms. Those interested in election to the Executive Committee are invited to submit an application for nomination to our Nominating Committee Chair Mary Odegaard. Mary may be reached at marytodegaard [at] gmail.com. Please contact her for an application. Applications must be received by Friday, November 2, 2012. The Nominating Committee will select candidates for endorsement during the following week. Those not endorsed, but still seeking to be on the ballot, may petition for inclusion.
