Anti-Gay Nonsense in SF
The Bible thumpers landed at Market on Embarcadero, at the main crosswalk going to the Ferry Building near Justin Herman Plaza, and today, Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at 12 Noon, had a sandwich board sign with a color photo of their Christian religious leader promoting heterosexual marriage as the only valid marriage, and slick, multi-color flyers, very expensive, on top of the sandwich board sign. This promotion of hate must end as there is no free speech for people who FALSELY yell "fire" in a crowded theater.

The men doing this looked like the same crowd as at the annual anti-abortion march, allowed by the San Francisco Democratic Party machine, on Market Street in January when we celebrate Roe v Wade, the 1973 decision guaranteeing women a right to a safe and legal abortion, which does not now exist in 80% of US counties where there are no abortion clinics. The majority decision in Roe v Wade was written while Republican Nixon was president, by a Nixon appointee, Justice Blackmun, with a Democratic Kennedy appointee, Justice White dissenting, proving that it is mass movements, not parties, that make the difference. Today, there are lots of Democrats who are anti-gay marriage and anti-abortion. As to the latter, the foremost among them is Senate Majority leader, Harry Reid of Nevada.
The gay liberation movement and the women’s liberation movement are closely related and face the same backward mentality.
As the economy declines and our school system is destroyed, we are witnessing a horrific regression in education and an increase in contempt for science, all of which become grounds for hate speech such as anti-gay marriage garbage that is being handed out daily at the foot of Market Street at Justin Herman Plaza at the Embarcadero crosswalk. A good leaflet to hand out could read:
Science means knowledge; religion is superstition;
Evolution is a fact;
Abortion is a right;
Gay marriage is a civil right;
There is no supreme being; LABOR CREATES ALL WEALTH.
