Marin County's 1st Annual POW/MIA Recognition Day, part of the National POW/MIA Day (Sept. 20th) will honor America's 87,000 Missing in Action (MIA) soldiers, and 142,000 Prisoners of War (POWs) (soldiers and civilians) -- 17,000 of whom died while interned, since WWII. The program will include a tribute with guest speakers, music and a reception. Free, all are welcome. Sponsored by the nonprofit Marin Alliance for the American Spirit (MAAS), Marin County Board of Supervisors, and Patriot Beverage Company with many supporters.
