From the media coverage about possible Anarchist Extremists trying to blow up bridges to the overwhelming police presence, the RNC was a major law enforcement exercise bringing together 59 law enforcement agencies to do crowd control together, and at a great cost. This display of force cost 50 million dollars, and as of August 30th has yielded two RNC related arrests citing recently passed laws intended for the RNC.
