Professor Frank will discuss the events which led up to the 2009 coup in Honduras, the impact of U.S. policy on Honduras since the coup, the killings of unionists, journalists, LBGT community activists and Resistance Movement activists. She will also discuss DEA involvement in the recent killings of indigenous Moskito people, as the “drug war” has become a pretext for increased funding for a US military presence in Honduras. The event is free. It is wheelchair accessible.
