Tim Griffin was fired from Camp Winton BSA where he had worked 9 years as an inspiring and enthusiatic counselor days after Boy Scout executives re-affirmed their anti-gay membership stance. The reason given was "dress code violation" but obviously he was singled out among similar violations by many of the staff. As a result 10 other staffers walked out alongside Tim's termination.
There has been tension building for decades now, and this appears to be the spilling point with national attention towards the shape of scouting to come to be determined.

This event is a petition delivery. We will be meeting up at the county offices. We will be printing out all the signatures of the petition and hand delivering them right to the front desk. We might have a meeting set up with the council offices as well to figure out a solution. There will be media coverage and opportunity for our message to be heard.
