Free Health and Nutrition Community Tour

Stockton, CA ~ Come and explore Taft Botanical Gardens and experience a rare opportunity for the general public to explore the rebirth of our garden paradise, creating unique education experiences for the Stockton regional community.

“Meet and Greet” community leaders including elected officials, educators, health and nutrition innovators who will help Taft Botanical Gardens bloom into a major regional asset, unveiling the educational secrets of the lush flora and fauna of our San Joaquin River Watershed.

According to event Co-Chair Michael Harris, "We encourage everyone to join us to create an educational resource of healthy solutions in the heart of the California Central Valley. Together, we accept the challenge of expanding access to better health and nutrition beginning in the garden.”

Join the Friends of Taft Botanical Gardens and help create a sustainable environment benefiting the entire community. Together, we will experience the rebirth and regeneration of a Community/School Garden Resource Center and demonstrate respect for the environment utilizing the bounty of the “Greatest Garden in the World”, the California Central Valley.

Attire: Casual with comfortable walking shoes to explore the garden estate.

Parking: Montessori Learning Academy, 419 Downing Avenue, Stockton, CA

Directions: Interstate 5 to Downing Avenue, travel East on Downing Avenue, to Taft Montessori Learning Academy, follow special “Open House” parking signs to the garden parking lot.

Friends of Taft Botanical Gardens is dedicated to creating a botanical garden for the twenty-first century by creating a world class site with spectacular views of the San Joaquin Delta. The project will create new recreational opportunities including hiking, community gathering spaces, environmental training, research, and educational programs. Become a member today!
