Justice 4 Raheim Brown Summer Solstice event at SF Baker Beach was awesome !
On "Raheim Summer Solstice Evening" 2 days ago, June 21, 2012,
we braved the wind and cold at Baker Beach, to honor the life of Little Raheim Brown, 20,
(assassinated by Oakland School Police officers Jo Bellusa and Barhim Batt,
on the Skyline High School parking lot, on January 22, 2011)

His Grieving Mom Lori Davis,
Oakland activist Ingrid Martin and Al Osorio,
Rebecca Luisa, Media Relations Director at Idriss Stelley Foundation, accompanied by her sweetie + one of her roommates who interns @ Malcom X Grassroots,
Mesha Irizarry of Occupy Da Hood SF.
Poor Magazine/Prensa Pobre members: Tiny Garcia , Ruyata "RAM", Bruce Allison, Silencio Muteado, and Tiburcio;
Denika Chatman, (Grieving Mom of Kenneth Harding Jr, assassinated by Bayview SFPD last July 16, 2011), and her brother Marco, on their way to another event, came to pay their respect.

(assassinated by Oakland School Police officers Jo Bellusa and Barhim Batt,
on the Skyline High School parking lot, on January 22, 2011;
Raheim was shot 7 times inside his car, twice in the face, 2 babies will now grow up fatherless)
We lit a bonfire, built a makeshift altar, roasted marchmallows,
listened to music and released flowers into the ocean.
it felt powerful to do something in celebration of Life,
the Spirit of Raheim and the presence of our Ancestors was shining bright above this beach
where Ile Priests and followers do rituals to honor Shango at every solstice and equinox !
We skipped the part of plunging into the icy cold waves on this shilly January 21 evening...
And the rangers came with bullhorns and sirens,
threatening to give us a citation if we did not vacate the area shortly after 7 pm.
We abided after covering the bonfire ashes with sand,
with the lingering feeling of Little Raheim stretching his wings around us,
soaring above our Valley of Tears and watching our backs,
and felt renewed energy, unity and solidarity
in the Struggle to bring Justice to all our Loved Ones slaughtered by Law Enforcement.
