US Forest Service: First They Raped Her, Then They Fired Comanche Woman Firefighter

by Lesa Donnelley
Native American whistleblower who was raped and beaten on the job fired from US Forest Service
by Lesa Donnelley, Vice President of the USDA Coalition of Minority Employees

Alicia Dabney,a Comanche Native American, and GS-462-4 Apprentice Firefighter, was fired from the Forest Service today.

This firing occurred less than one week after she participated in the Whistle Blower/Human Rights & Civil Rights Summit in Washington. The group of California/Oregonfemale federal employees who traveled to Washington were accused by the Administration of practicing partisan politics.

The Obama Administration levelled a massive amount of pressure against the women. Threats from their California districts made their way all the way to DC.

§First They TRIED to Rape Her
by Monica Davis
Correction to this story: fellow co-worker TRIED to rape her, threw her on the ground, but gave up after she started screaming.md, author

Alicia Dabney was not raped. Lesa Donnelly made a false statement which belittles the facts. Yet, this is another example of the many hundreds of women within the USDA who are subjected to hostile work environments. Furthermore, after reporting the assaults many are terminated in retaliation for speaking the truth. Thus, further discriminating against women not only the USDA, but nationwide by giving the message that it's OK to harass women and they will pay for it at the hands of men.

The statement that Dabney is true: I misunderstood a statement and erroneously put that in this article, versions of which have been printed elsewhere.mdavis

If my brainz n fingers would cooperate. What I meant is: Dabney was NOT raped. I misunderstood a statement from Donnelly when I wrote the headline.md

Its crazy the type of things people can get away with. Some peopl just cant handle rejection. Its no way a woman should have to deal with that typ eof abuse on the job. Or anywhere for that matter. I hope this story has a good ending for alicia

It's absurd that they punish Alicia Dabney for that which she reported prior to being hired. It's as if the USDA Forest Service gave license to those bullies to abuse her knowing that she'd be let go. There is a man in Region 8 who has been convicted of criminal domestic violence AFTER he was hired and the good old boys let him keep his job. He was also convicted prior to employment and those charges were expunged. The second CDV as a federal employee cannot be expunged, yet he keeps on fighting fires. Makes no sense. Seems only men can play with fire and keep their jobs.
