Cuba is respected and admired by people all over the world for its social accomplishments at home and abroad. However, the U.S. government continues to present a distorted image of Cuba in order to justify its policy of hostility, subversion and economic and political blockade.
Join our panel of intellectuals and activists for an enlightening discussion about the real Cuba.
ISAAC SANEY is a professor and lecturer on Cuba, Caribbean political economy, law and human rights and African Canadian history. Author of Cuba: A Revolution in Motion (2004).
KEITH BOLENDER is a freelance journalist living in Toronto. He writes extensively on Cuba for North American publications. Author of Voices from the Other Side: An Oral History of Terrorism Against Cuba (2010).
Suggested donation: $5-10 (no one turned away)
Co-sponsored by Human Agenda and the San Jose Peace and Justice Center
