An eight year old girl from Modesto came to the March 5, 2012 protest and occupation for education. She was nearly run over by Governor Brown's California Patrolmen on horses who pushed away any person that had a sign on the public state Capitol grounds. According to the police a permit is needed to have a sign on the state capitol grounds although this violates the Federal Constitution. The girls father was arrested and deported when he demanded proper pay for his job and her teacher is threatened with getting pick slipped. This is girl, her mother and brother spoke out on what they face in California in 2012. Labor Video Project http://www.laborvideo.org
§The mother of the Modesto girl nearly run over speaks out
The mother of Alandra speaks out about the attacks they face from the deportation of her husband, the pink slipping of the their daughter's teacher and the police charging her and others on horseback.
The Democratic legislature and the Democratic governor had a major mobilization of police to stop protesters from having an ongoing rally on the Capitol grounds. Apparently they were one upping Wisconsin governor Scott Walker. The police were prepared to violently attack peaceful protesters.
