East Bay | Global Justice and Anti-Capitalism9-12 Arrests at OGP this afternoon regarding defense of tree sit and info/food tables.
We were defending the tree sit at 14th when it became apparent that the police were going to raid the table area, so when everyone arrived at the party all hell broke loose. I find it quite odd that it takes five men to detain one person. Two women were arrested, and I cannot know for certain why. At least two men were brutalized, one had fled which may have provoked reaction from the police. At least two other arrests seemed unprovoked. The cops man handled almost everyone that I noticed, and once on the ground police used their weight and knees to hold detainees, using pressure on their necks, heads, and backs. One man appeared to be leaving the burger joint, and having a verbal confrontation with protesters, I think it is advisable not to be involved with individuals such as these as sometimes police use this tactic against us. It would have seemed to provoke at least two more arrests.

After defending the trees we went to the tables to defend there, and it went down then.
