Thanks for the photos, Matt. Some nice shots.
I notice there isn't one sign relating to a local issue nor any exposing the ongoing attacks on Occupy Santa Cruz. Does anyone know if those "inconvenient-for-local-1%" issues actually were raised in any of the signs? Were any of these matters mentioned? The SEIU, of course, has already endorsed Obama. And we see Vice-Mayor Don Lane coyly peeking out. It's certainly great to see union workers get involved. I wonder who represents the sheriffs who have engaged in steady attacks on the liberty and property of the protesters with more than 20 lodging tickets (each punishable by up to 6 months in jail and $1000 fine).

Robert, you need to bring something concrete to the table.
Nazi salutes will get your picture in the paper and attach your name to this issue which is all you ever aim for. It seems to me that everyone brings their own personal issues to the Occupy movement, which is great. But painting those in your community as somehow being uncaring when the don't pay attention to your pet cause is merely self-serving. I believe that your stunts in front of the city council only help to dilute the larger message of the Occupy movement and polarizes this community unnecessarily. Also have to say that those pics are really fantastic. I was quite inspired being out there on that bridge and at the rally on the courthouse steps.

While most of the county employees are under SEIU Local 521, the deputies are represented by Operating Engineers Local 3
