Historian LAURENCE H. SHOUP will offer a short presentation on the history of the 1946 Oakland General Strike, then will compare and contrast it with the November 2, 2011 Oakland General Strike.

This will be followed by general discussion on the significance of each, stressing the November 2nd event which most people present will likely have an eyewitness opinion about.
