The Struggle for Immigrant Rights

In the face of increasing racist attacks on immigrants, there is a continuing struggle to push back the right wing and demand full unconditional amnesty for undocumented workers and full rights for all immigrants. As states and local governments promote anti-immigrant laws like Arizona’s SB 1070 and right- wing groups target Latinos, the establishment media whip up fear and anger. But organizing and protests in defense of immigrant rights are taking place from Boston to Phoenix. There are no borders in the workers’ struggle!
Plus: War and Resistance in Afghanistan
The firing of Gen. Stanley McChrystal comes on the heels of multiple victories by the Afghan insurgency over U.S. and NATO forces in the past several months. Now Gen. David Petraeus has decided to promote a violent civil war in Afghan villages. The U.S. ruling class is hoping to reduce U.S. casualties by encouraging fighting between different ethnic groups. But this is a war that the occupiers cannot win. The U.S. military may succeed in escalating loss of Afghan lives, to which they attach no value, but they will be unable to defeat the resistance of the Afghan people.

Enfrentándose a los crecientes ataques contra inmigrantes, hay una lucha continua que se opone a los derechistas y demanda amnistía incondicional para todos los trabajadores indocumentados y derechos plenos para todo inmigrante. Mientras que los gobiernos estatales y municipales promueven leyes anti-inmigrantes como la SB-1070 de Arizona y grupos derechistas atacan a Latinos, los medios establecidos amplifican el miedo y coraje. Pero el organizar y protestar en defensa de los derechos inmigratorios se encuentran desde Boston hacia Phoenix. ¡No hay fronteras en la lucha obrera!
Guerra y Resistencia en Afganistán
El despido del General Stanely McChrystal viene poco después de las múltiples victorias por parte de la insurgencia afgana contra las fuerzas de los EE.UU. y OTAN en los últimos meses.
