Cal Winslow, PhD, author of Labor’s Civil War in California: The NUHW Healthcare Workers’ Rebellion (PM Press, 2010) and an active supporter of the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW), and Steve Early, labor activist and journalist, author of Embedded with Organized Labor will discuss the impending vote by 45,000 Kaiser workers to switch unions--a key turning point for the new independent National Union of Healthcare Workers. What does this mean for the many Kaiser workers, patients, communities, health care advocacy groups, and others with a stake in the outcome?
