Building the Foundations of a Movement: July 10 is the first of six consecutive Saturdays during which we study the history of Civil Rights Movement (aka Southern Freedom Mvt) as a case study of how social movements happen, so we can "get ready to be ready" for the next social movement. We start with a free continental breakfast. Wazir Peacock is our featured speaker in the morning along with a short film. After a pot luck lunch, we will have activities and discussions that explore the themes of the history learned in the morning. The sessions are free and open to all ages.
