Flowers on a frangipani tree. Virescent rice terraces, pulse-pounding surf, enchanting temple ceremonies, mesmerizing dance performances and ribbons of beaches are just some of the images people cherish from the most visitor friendly island in Indonesia, an island called Bali.

On the evening of January 30th, 2010, Mahea Uchiyama Center for International Dance is proud to bring you visions of Bali through beautiful dances and live music with chimes and gong ensemble called gamelan. The dances will feature Kompiang Metri-Davies, who has participated in the San Francisco Ethnic Festival since 1993. We will also feature her group Gadung Kasturi Balinese Dance and Music Ensemble.
