N30 — International Day of Action for Climate Justice, SF, 11/30/09: photos (2 of 2)
On November 30th, the 10th anniversary of the global justice movement’s successful non-violent shut-down of the WTO in Seattle, and one week before the UN climate negotiations in Copenhagen open, activists staged demonstrations, teach-ins and civil disobedience in cities around the North America. In San Francisco, protesters rallied for climate justice at Justin Herman Plaza then marched to Bank of America headquarters where they blockaded the doors in an act of non-violent civil disobedience. About two dozen people were arrested. This first photo is of marchers hurrying through a walkway from Montgomery Street to get to the doors of the BofA building.
