The ANSWER Coalition has joined with six other national anti-war organizations and issued an appeal asking people to take immediate action in their communities against the war in Afghanistan the very day that the Obama administration announces its plans to expand the war.

The war in Afghanistan is a colonial-type war. There are more than 140 armed organizations fighting against the occupation. That is a clear indication that the Afghan people view the U.S./NATO invasion as colonial-type occupation force.

The U.S. war effort is doomed. Tens of thousands more troops will be sent into the country because the Pentagon cannot figure out what else to do. The continued war and its escalation threaten the lives of untold thousands of Afghan people and U.S. soldiers.

The ANSWER Coalition is demanding the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of all U.S. and NATO forces from Afghanistan as well as Iraq.

SF protest is co-sponsored by Bay Area chapters of World Can’t Wait, Code Pink, A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition and others.

Bring your voter registration forms so that all the Democrats who are outraged at Obama can register Peace & Freedom or Green. In 1968, after 4 years of escalating bombing of Vietnam on the false pretext of the phony Gulf of Tonkin "incident" of August 1964, Democrat Johnson announced he was not running for re-election. In 1968, Peace & Freedom Party was born in reaction to the horrors perpetrated by the Democratic Party (and the Republican Party) in Vietnam, resulting in the deaths of 3 million Vietnamese, 1 million Cambodians, 58,000 Americans and thousands of other people. US Capitalism still had a few more crumbs to toss to the workingclass, including running a black milliionaire, warmonger, death penalty promoter as president (an insult to the black liberation movement) to continue to perpetuate their profit-making war machine. TODAY, THERE ARE NO JOBS AND OBAMA PROMISES IT WILL BE WORSE IN 2010. Obama is not delivering single payer healthcare, much less socialized medicine, he supports privatizing the school system with "charter" schools and refusing to bail out California's public schools, and much more. He takes every reactionary position possible, just like Republican Bush because he represents the same capitalist class. War in Afghanistan finished previous empires AND IT WILL CERTAINLY FINISH THE WORST, MOST VICIOUS, ROTTEN EMPIRE THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN, US IMPERIALISM.

The people’s movement has not yet reached a point of critical mass where we can easily overpower our masters. When the people are ready to collectively stop cooperating with authority we will have a revolution motivated by a burning desire to live free in a better society based on true equality, freedom and human rights. One day when 1/3 of America have lost their consumer happy lifestyle to capitalism, there won’t be any question as to what we should do and by that time the obstacles to democracy will be outside waiting for us. Don't let our rulers use terrorism as a pretext for control no matter how big the attack. Those who surrender liberty for security deserve neither. RESIST

It would be easier to post a long lsit of antiwar links... if they were printed straight,
