Supervisor John Avalos and Chris Daly have proposed legislation to avoid the layoffs and stop the bumping. Citywide layoffs and bumping has created a massive crisis disproportionately affecting women, people of color and negatively affecting services. On Wednesday, November 4, we need hundreds of SEIU 1021 members to mobilize for a press conference and to pack-up the budget hearing chamber to stop the layoffs, deskilling and bumping nightmare haunting SF workers. We need all SEIU 1021 members affected by these layoffs and bumping to come to the Press Conference and Budget Hearing.
