Discussion Circles on Leon Trotsky: His Life and Ideas

The dynamic ideas of this co-leader of the Russian Revolution will be the subject of a four-session study group. Using the Red Letter Press booklet of the same name, the group will tackle key lessons of Trotsky’s theory of Permanent Revolution and learn about his remarkable role in the revolution and his struggle against Stalinism. A rarely seen French documentary film on Leon Trotsky by Alain Dugrand and Patrick LeGall will be screened at the final class meeting.

The study groups will meet on the same night in two cities as follows:

Berkeley—5:30pm-7:00pm
University of California, Room 374-A, Boalt Hall School of Law
(at Bancroft and Piedmont Streets, close to Downtown Berkeley BART).

San Francisco—7:00pm-8:30pm
New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin St., Suite 202 (near Civic Center Bart).

For more information or to purchase the Red Letter Press booklet, call 415-864-1278, email bafsp [at] earthlink.net or visit the newly-relaunched FSP website at http://www.socialism.com.
