Time:
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Event Type:
Protest
Organizer/Author:
Oliver Tree
Location Details:
City Hall on Martin Luther King, Jr. Way

On its way to Beatty, NV, the radioactive debris of the nuclear testing facility the Bevatron will be hauled down Ashby Ave. and University Ave. The problem with these 4700 truckloads is that they will only be covered with tarps. These trucks wont only have radioactive waste but will also be carrying other harmful materials such as asbestos and mercury. This negligence could lead to serious contamination. Join us in putting a stop to this on Tuesday July 14. A rally will be held starting at 6 PM at the City Hall on Martin Luther King, Jr. Way which will be followed by a Press Conference at 6:30 PM. Please call your city council representatives to express your concern at the following numbers...
