Fiery Feminist Theory Series: Transnationalism and Postmodernism

The discussion of different ideas on how to achieve women’s liberation continues with a look at postmodern and transnational feminisms. Is gender socially constructed? If so, what is the best approach to dealing with sexism, racism, and homophobia? While global capitalism wreaks havoc on women’s lives, these same warriors are fighting back in various ways. Bring your ideas and be part of the discussion.

Before the meeting, you are invited to share a delicious home-cooked buffet, a fundraiser for Radical Women, served at 6:15pm for a $7.50 donation. The event will be held at New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin St. # 202, San Francisco (5 blocks from Civic Center BART, near #19, 31, 38 & 40 Muni lines). For childcare or work exchanges, please call 415-864-1278 three days in advance or email baradicalwomen [at] earthlink.net.
