Mehserle's father gets man arrested for threats on Alex Jones site
ROANOKE, VA. -- A Virginia man has been charged in federal court with making online death threats against the former BART police officer charged with murdering an unarmed passenger, court records show.
Jeffrey L. Weaver, 48, of Roanoke is accused of using the identity "F-ThePIGS" while posting online comments threatening to kill Johannes Mehserle, the officer who shot and killed 22-year-old Oscar Grant early New Year's Day, according to the FBI.
Jeffrey L. Weaver, 48, of Roanoke is accused of using the identity "F-ThePIGS" while posting online comments threatening to kill Johannes Mehserle, the officer who shot and killed 22-year-old Oscar Grant early New Year's Day, according to the FBI.
"F- THE PIGS AND I FIND OUT WHO THE PIG IS THEN I WILL KILL THE PIG WHO KILLED HIM," someone wrote at about 5 p.m. Jan. 5 on the infowars.com Web site.
About 12 minutes later, the same person wrote, "The best pigs are dead f- pigs and if any of you Oakland or BART pigs- f- are reading this your time is coming you pigs- muthaf- sooner than you think and this isn't a threat its a f- promise b-!! Im curious to know what it looks like up close to see pigs- f- get their brains splattered against a wall."
On Jan. 7, after news reports had identified Mehserle by name, the individual made a third threat, this time including the officer's name and home address, FBI Agent Binh Pham wrote in an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Virginia.
The online messages were reported to the FBI in San Francisco by Mehserle's father, Todd Mehserle, on Jan. 8. The reported threats were cited by Johannes Mehserle's defense team as the reason why he went into hiding and was moved from place to place. The officer was arrested in Douglas County, Nev. on Jan. 13 on suspicion of murder.
A day after his arrest, about 50 Napa residents were evacuated from the neighborhood where the elder Mehserle lived after suspicious packages were found near his home on Jan. 14.
The officer resigned from the force rather than talk to BART police internal affairs investigators. Last week, Judge C. Don Clay of Alameda County Superior Court ordered Mehserle to stand trial for murder. After listening to seven days of testimony at a preliminary hearing, the judge concluded that Mehserle hadn't gotten his Taser stun gun and his service pistol mixed up when he shot Grant in the back at the Fruitvale Station in Oakland on Jan. 1.
The judge's decision prompted Todd Mehserle, who sat in the gallery, to say, loud enough for reporters to hear, "No justice in Oakland. They want to see what they want to see. This town is a sham."
The FBI identified Weaver through the two IP addresses that were used to post the threats, Pham wrote. Public records show that Weaver has previously lived in San Francisco and has a prior felony conviction in California for selling or furnishing marijuana.
Investigators also concluded that Weaver had posted a message threatening to shoot a Martinsville, Virginia police officer with a 9mm pistol because that officer had been involved in a Taser-related incident that resulted in a 17-year-old boy's death, the affidavit said.
FBI agents served a search warrant at Weaver's home on May 29 and interviewed him. Weaver admitted that he frequented the Infowars Web site and that he was "angry when he made these postings," Pham wrote. "Weaver acknowledged posting these messages, but stated he did not intend to harm anyone."
Weaver was charged June 1 with transmitting threatening communications in interstate commerce. At a hearing Monday, U.S. Magistrate Michael Urbanski said there was enough evidence presented at a preliminary hearing to hold Weaver over for trial. Urbanski also ordered Weaver to be held until then, saying there was "clear and convincing evidence that the defendant poses a danger to the community if released on bond."

Todd Mehserle's Angry Internet History
Todd Mehserle, whose son Johannes is the BART officer who was captured on film shooting Oscar Grant as he lay unarmed and facedown on a subway platform, seems to have a long history of participation on internet message boards. Using information found on what appears to be Mehserle's Myspace page, we uncovered five years of his online commentary. Based on these statements, it seems that Mehserle is an outspoken conservative with a history of anger management issues.

so apparently infowars logs IP addresses and happily turns them over to law enforcement? not clear why so many conspiracy nuts frequent such a site." end qoute
I knew Alex Jones couldn't be trusted.
He talks all kinds of shit about how corrupt the American government but at he same time condemns those who try to get even. WTF?
Just whose side is Alex Jones on anyway? He's not a true revolutionary just a talker who comes in the governments defense when it's under attack.
Anybody who attacks the government is a criminal according to Alex.
He even talks shit about anarchists in his Police State II Documentary covering the Battle of Seattle.
Anarchists are the ones with guts on the frontlines every time. He just can't handle the fact that there are people who are more revolutionary than he thinks he is.
I give the guy plenty of credit for exposing the elite and the militarized world we live in but he provides no alternative solution to the world we have to live with everyday.
As if waking everybody up going to change the world by it self
hahahahaha
Change doesn't come with out action and action can not be controlled or limited by the law when the law is being used to uphold a system of oppression.
