Sat., June 6, 12 Noon - Gaza Solidarity Day Rally and March -- UN Plaza, San Francisco
March Route: Market to 4th St., 4th St. to Mission, Mission to 5th St., 5th St. to Market, Market to UN Plaza

Join us on Saturday, June 6, 12 noon at UN Plaza (Market & 7th Sts.) for a rally and march on the 42nd anniversary of Israel's takeover of Gaza during the 1967 Six Day War.

To gain maximum visibility, the march will pass through the busiest parts of downtown San Francisco on a Saturday, and then return to UN Plaza.

On Saturday, June 6, organizations and individuals in solidarity with the people of Palestine will be taking to the streets once again to demand: End the Siege of Gaza!

The world looked on in horror this past winter as Israel mercilessly starved and bombed the people of Gaza, killing more than 1,400 Palestinians, at least a third of whom were children. The Arab world now refers to the dark days from the end of December to mid-January “The Gaza Massacre.” Although the mainstream media no longer focuses on Gaza, the suffering continues there nonetheless. Using the pretext of combating terrorism, Israel has refused to allow even one truckload of cement into Gaza. In other words, the city that was reduced to rubble still lies in rubble today. All these months later, people are still living in tents and are scarcely able to secure the necessities of life.

Sponsoring organizations for the June 6 Gaza Solidarity Day include ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War & End Racism), Muslim American Society Freedom, National Council of Arab Americans, Free Palestine Alliance, Al-Awda—Palestine Right of Return Coalition, American Muslims for Palestine, Arab Resource and Organizing Center, Cindy Sheehan, Alliance for a Just & Lasting Peace in the Philippines (AJLPP), International Socialist Organization, Freedom Socialist Party, Industrial Workers of the World—Bay Area, FMLN—N. Calif., Barrio Unido, Party for Socialism and Liberation, Middle East Children’s Alliance and more!
