Beacon is a collection of outsider art displaying works created by local visually impaired and disabled artists. Uncooked by cultural and artistic influences, these works bare no relation to developments in contemporary art. They are innovative and powerful expressions from a wide range of individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Catasta Gallery, in conjunction with LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired along with CCSF LightHouse based students would like to welcome you to this very special First Thursday's art walk. Come out, enjoy a glass of wine and support our community for a great cause.

Proceeds of art sales will directly support both the artists and LightHouse’s Insights juried art exhibition of works by artists who are blind or visually impaired, on view at the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery in City Hall in Fall 2009.
