Inside/Out: The Voices of Black Immigrants (May Day Event)
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm MoAD Salon

The Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI) in coordination with MoAD and the U.C Berkeley Labor Center invites you to join us this May Day 2009 for a lively afternoon of culture, politics and community as we host a panel discussion featuring the voices of local residents of the Bay Area who have migrated to the U.S from various places of the African Diaspora.

Join them as they share their experiences as Black immigrant workers and their perceptions of being embraced by African Americans and non-African peoples in the workplace and community.

Featuring the music of St. Kitts Caribbean Jazz artist, Nigel “Bokei” Jeffers.

*Light refreshments will be served*
