Amy Goodman, the popular host of the daily grassroots radio program, Democracy Now!, will be speaking at the First Presbyterian Church, 1140 Cowper Street, Palo Alto on Thursday, April 16 at 7:30 PM. Goodman is on a speaking tour in celebration of the 13th anniversary of the Democracy Now! broadcasts.

Goodman will be accompanied by her brother and co-author David Goodman, an investigative journalist. The award-winning brother-sister team will be speaking on themes covered in their recent book, Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times, which has just been released in paperback. Amy and David will sign copies of their book after the talk.
