Friends of Tristan and Palestine held a rally and press conference on Thursday, March 26th at noon in front of the Israeli Consulate in San Francisco. It was called to address the San Francisco police attack against protesters at the Solidarity with Tristan demonstration on March 16th, as well as the police attack against people attending the ANSWER anti-war rally on March 21st. Speakers demanded that the SFPD drop all charges from the protests, and that police who brutalized people be held to account by the San Francisco District Attorney. An update was given on Tristan's condition as he remains in a hospital in Israel. One person was arrested today after some guy came out of the Consulate and tried to disrupt the first speaker by yelling that there have been more deaths in Darfur than in Palestine.
