The more we move them around, the less they can organize in any consistent way. I used to be a member of Anti-Racist Action in the Bay Area, and will try to research thru different sources if i can find out if they going anywhere now. Good work, anti-racist anarchists!

CA Bay area NSM Meeting

On Sunday, March 22 the NSM California Bay Area Unit will be hosting its first official meeting at 2:30pm. The meeting will be held in the east bay area of Richmond CA. off Interstate 80. This meeting will have special guest speakers focusing on the impact of illegal immigration and multiculturalism on our white culture. Members of the NSM Southern California Unit will be in attendance speaking on their efforts at the border and the importance of actions in protecting our race and nation. You do not need to be a NSM member to attand this event.

The 2 hour meeting in Richmond is open to all comrades that have an interest in what the NSM is doing to fight for the existence of our people and future for white children. This is a family/child friendly event. Children and teens welcome if accompanied by their parents. Snacks and refreshments will be available.

Thanks to the original poster for making this known and for taking the first steps to get their meeting shut out. I agree the more we run them around the harder its going to be for them to have meetings. This is a good use for Indymedia to share information like this so we can organize them out of town.

So we should start organizing our own meeting at that location and drive them out. We should start circulating info for people interested in heading over together so we can stick together when we deal with these fuckheads.

once upon a time white power idiots werent uncommon at punk rock and hardcore shows here. some people decided that anytime white power folks showed up they would be physically attacked. pretty soon, nazis were none existant in the bay area punk and hardcore scenes.

People should make a bunch of leaflets against the Nazis (to SHUT THEM DOWN at their Safeway gathering point) to hand out at the anti-war march on Saturday (Don't spend time arguing with pacifists who don't want to shut them down), and in the neighborhood where the Nazis will gather. I live a distance away so i won't be able to do so. Come prepared to fight them, fuck up their vehicles, etc. Cover your faces, and bring a change of clothes. Don't let them organize.

I'm sort of fascinated that they're meeting in Richmond (equally fascinated if it was the Richmond district of SF). In Seattle where I'm from, there was a big case. After a raid by the ATF for illegal weapons dealing. people suddenly realized that a major neo-nazi had been living in a liberal neighborhood and intimidating people. He acted as a property manager/bill collector for dozens of apartment units, so the lower-income tenants all knew about him, but I don't think that any upper-middle class residents realized this. He had done jailtime for attempting to kill MLK Jr, and he had split from the Hayden lake compound in northern Idaho. Anyway, the big question was... why was he motivated to move into the urban liberal neighborhood when he could go anywhere. I was once a hippie, a proud militant hippie. If you wnat to insult pacifists, go ahead, but not all hipppies were pacifists.

ARA was fairly active in the 90s. People communicated on listservs back then, but I'm wondering how much the terrain has changed since then. It is likely that there is many times more online racist chat going on. But how should this affect community response? There is not enough time to find and argue with all the online racist organizers, and that's a reality. Maybe just reinforcing the sense of shame that keeps most from meeting in public is adequate. These folks who call themselves nazis and still want to meet in public are on the extreme brave side and will need to be responded to.
At the same time, we have to be honestly aware of all the others who are organizing out there. Largely, they will emerge in new forms. While I support the 2nd amendment and am not concerned about economic 'doomer' perspective, there are fringes of the 9-11 truth, emergency preparedness, and other economic perspectives who totally have a racist subtext. I'm worried about what can break out during economic hard times, especially among people whose reality is shattered by it. In the 30s, there were examples of movements violently turning on political groups such as the socialists, or ethnic groups such as jews, asians etc who had previously been fairly integrated in some cities. Just this weekend, I decided to stay at a hostel when staying a 4th day after staying with friends 3 days. While struggling to upload bulky .mov files onto indybay, four guys there were talking- 3 older cyclists traveling down the coast and another. The first spent 2 hours launching into a mixture of 9-11 truth and the engineering of the world trade center, regular leftist political stuff with references to Chomsky and other writers, and some other garbled 'skeptic' stuff. The others were listening and agreeing. The 4th started interjecting all this offensive 'it's the jews' stuff - saying the WTC is owned by a jew. The jews all got phone calls to stay home that day. Gavin Newsom got a phone call not to fly. The others seemed to agree and accept, and I sat there not saying a thing except when they brought up E Howard Hunt - which is my preferred story about the JFK assassination. Anyhow - Can we believe that our society is going to get through our big depression without a bunch of personalities like this not organizing under Glenn Beck, or someone else? In the 80s 'New World Order' used to be almost entirely used by the far right, but there are a lot of examples of moderates who are awakening to the economic situation, but have no exposure to good economic thinkers - who might glom onto the NWO ideas (i.e. indicting a list of bad people at the top rather than the system).

Are there folks who can pull an action together?

I grew up in the punk community in the south where nazi's were always attacking people at shows during the 90s. Take it from someone who experienced dealing with boneheads --the only way to deal with them is through physical force.

I talked with the manager at the Safeway in Orinda and the couple of employees there were not happy to hear that neo-nazis planned to meet in their parking lot.

I think it would be useful for a few more people to call Safeway, as concerned residents of the Bay Area, and let them know that there will be a rally against racism to protest the neo-nazis. If they get enough calls, this might help them to also take action to stop the neo-nazis from meeting. It can also be a useful as a way of getting the word out to people about this rally and create opportunities for more and more people to stand up against these racist, homophobic, sexist politics.

After the Marriott cancelled our reservation and the ADL posted our event on their website we have changed our meeting location and checkpoints. We will meet in Richmond on the same day and time however we will host the meeting at a Mexican restaurant. The ADL will not expect us to meet there. It is ironic that we will be speaking out against immigration and multiculturalism at the restaurant.

Multiple new checkpoints have been given to individuals in the surrounding area however we will not send someone to meet with them until the meeting has started for security. Today the National Socialist Movement met and formed a new unit in the Bay Area just outside of Richmond. The new unit formed will meet monthly in tha Bay Area and Central California to teach the National Socialist ideology and political practices. We are accepting applications from racially aware whites that want a better future for their children and grandchildren. Todays peaceful meeting was a great success! We took in new members and enjoyed the company of our comrades in a relaxing setting.
In the days prior to the meeting we learned that some local agitators had planned on disrupting our meeting however we met with no opposition. They spent too much time chasing their own tails to be of any concern to us. The NSM California unit would like to make clear that the meeting location was changed only once due to a cancellation and that the meeting was never to be held at any mexican restaurant. The NSM has not and will not plan any meetings in any restaurant. With the formation of this new unit we will bring the National Socialist doctrine to the racially aware masses of the Bay and Central California area and invite all proud, racially aware whites to attend any of our National Socialist events.
