The American Friends Service Committee AFSC and the students of the CSUMB Youth Rights project present the Eyes Wide Open: Human cost of War display in memory of the US and Iraqi deaths in the war. On Saturday there will be a candlelight vigil from 6 pm to 7 pm
Sunday April 5 display will be noon to 4 pm

“Eyes Wide Open: The Human Cost of War Exhibit Comes to CSUMB in April”


“Eyes Wide Open: The Human Cost of War”, a deeply moving memorial exhibit commemorating the 444 California soldiers killed thus far in Iraq and the 65 killed in Afghanistan, will take place on April 4, 5, and 6, beginning noon Saturday and Sunday, at CSU-Monterey Bay Central Quad (Divarty Street near new Library) . This memorial to the human cost of the war in Iraq is displayed as rows of combat boots, identified with names of the military from California who have been killed in that war. A candlelight vigil will be held Saturday, 6 – 7 PM. The public is invited. Parking is available near the Central Quad, Admission is free.
