"Worldpeacecontest.com" A new approach to peace!

by Joseph Saeidian

The idea is to make a website that is dedicated to promoting individual freedom and inner peace, a community where people learn new views about others and life in general. Worldpeacecontest.com is not limited to its contests; it is also a place where new ways of thinking towards peace will be established.
Joseph Saeidian, a psychology student at UC Santa Barbara, begins with an ambitious vision. He wants to promote world peace, which to him is a state of mind rather than a mere wish. "World Peace Puzzle," a unique online contest, represents the fruition of his efforts over the past year. The puzzle’s success depends on business sponsors that enable it to distribute prizes to contest winners and implement future plans for the website. The contest is therefore appealing to companies of all sizes to buy a piece of the puzzle.

'World Peace Puzzle' transforms the world map into a jigsaw puzzle with 5,000 pieces. Each piece will be hyperlinked to a page representing a company that chooses to sponsor the contest and support its worthy ideals. Joseph has already secured the support of a group of UC Santa Barbara students, who have purchased the puzzle’s first piece. The contest has generated buzz and excitement on school campus, partly because the first ten people who complete the puzzle will share a sum of $100,000. But the website is not just about sponsorships and prizes. It provides a community for people of all ages and backgrounds to exchange ideas about attaining inner, social, and global peace. This is the overarching vision of Worldpeacecontest.com, which seeks to earn people’s recognition and support throughout the world.

It is only a matter of time before millions make Worldpeacecontest.com the beginning of a deeply personal journey with direct relevance to our troubled world.
