Johannes Mehserle the BART police officer who executed Oscar Grant on New Years Eve is about to be out on bail. The Alameda Superior Court put a $3 million bail which means Mehserle will be out for $300,000. After the hearing protestors marched all over Oakland hounded by a heavy presence of Oakland Police Department officers in riot gear. There were several arrests.
The next event in the struggle for justice for Oscar Grant is tonight at Oakland City Hall
