Rabbi David Dalin & John Rothmann in discussion of "Icon of Evil: Hitler's Mufti and the rise of Radical Islam"
The Center for Jewish Life at the Osher Marin JCC invites you to join us for an evening with Rabbi David Dalin & John Rothmann as they discuss their fascinating book, Icon of Evil: Hitler's Mufti and the rise of Radical Islam. This riveting book describes the life and legacy of the Mufti of Jerusalem. Hear how Haj Amin al-Husseini allied with Hitler during World War II then moved to Egypt to mentor a young Yassar Arafat.
Learn how Nazi-style anti-Semitism got its rise and how far we have come today. The book is both revelatory and unsettling and reveals an essential character in the worst crimes of the modern era. Rabbi David Dalin and John Rothmann help us to understand the past, present, and future of radical Islam. A question and answer session will follow the presentation & discussion. Books are available for purchase and signature.
David G. Dalin is the Taube Research Fellow in American History at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
John F. Rothmann serves on the faculty of the Fromm Institute at the University of San Francisco. He is an author, teacher, archivist, political consultant, and talk show host.
This event is in association with Book Passage.
